Runaway Train is a four piece  band based in South Puget Sound, Washington. The band originally formed over ten years ago, evolving into the energetic quartet it is today. Characterized by strong leads, tight vocal harmonies and solid instrumental work, the group performs at festivals, concerts and private events throughout the region.We have a compelling traditional , driving sound, and are not afraid to stretch the limits of the genre! We are also proud to be host band for Bluegrass from the Forest . There are workshops, jamming, camping and much more in Shelton, WA each May. Headlining the festival in 2011 was the new supergroup THE BOXCARS and we had record crowds. In May of 2012 we’ll have Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen, The Kathy Kallick Band and several top regional bands.  This is right around the corner!
